Some may not like this kind of graffiti, but documentaries like yours show that it's worth paying attention to.

Even though many still don't yet appreciate the creativity of this neo-expressionist form of art that originated in NYC, it's catching on. Museums hold street/urban art exhibits -- sometimes they are the highlight of their shows and it has become one of the hottest sellers in the art market with some pieces going for $ Millions. It kind of reminds me of the late 19th century when Monet's works were considered an apostasy since they didn't follow the traditional style of the day.

It's gratifying that the importance of this extraordinary form of artistic expression is finally being recognized.

Sometimes it is difficult to separate the art from narcissism. Too many graffiti writers are interested in just writing their name or mark or their crew's name and mark wherever they can.

Maybe so with some, but it's a struggle for many to gain recognition. Thank you Esther!
