Captain Jamison


Captain Clarence Clifford Jamison was in the second graduating class of the Tuskegee Airmen. He was part of the 99th Pursuit Squadron and was one of the first African American pilots to engage in aerial combat. On January 24, 1944, over Italy, a squadron, led by Captain Jamison downed five German planes.
His service locations: Tuskegee Army Air Field, Tuskegee, Alabama; North Africa; Sicily and Anzio, Italy; also: K-16 Air Base (Seoul Air Base), Seoul, Korea. His rank: Lieutenant Colonel.
