Die mandelblüte in der Pfalz ist jedes frühjahr eine sehenswürdigkeit. Das ist dann ein wahrer blütenrausch...ganz ohne drogen ;-)

Das gibt viel wohlschmeckendes Mandelgebäck. Ich habe Mal im Frühjahr ganze Felder voll davon auf einer Kanareninsel gesehen...

In der Pfalz gibt's wohl mehr wohlschmeckenden Wein...aber nicht aus Mandelblüten. Die werden allerdings zum Anlass genommen, um tüchtig zu feiern, nämlich das Mandelblütenfest. Nächste und übernächste Woche ist es wieder so weit :-)

Auf den Kanaren war ich leider nocht nicht, zu meinem 40. Geburtstag wollte ich dort sein, habe dann aber leider die Grippe bekommen. Also wurde die Reise abgesagt und bis jetzt keine Gelegenheit gefunden, wieder eine Reise auf die Kanaren zu planen.

The almond blossom festival is a really special spring time occasion in this area (almost like in Japan, perhaps not quite as famous) and I'm looking forward to it all year round. Now you can see why :-)
