I once wrote a story about a black cat and learned many things about white cats. ...One is: "If the white cat has one blue and one green eye, he doesn't hear on the side of his blue eye. It is deaf. It has something to do with genetics. They have a snail-shaped organ in the inner ear, the cochlea. It's vital for hearing. If this cochlea degenerates, it is because of a genetic heredity. If a white, blue-eyed cat has kittens, after a few days, the inner ear degenerates. The kitten loses its hearing. There is nothing one can do about it. The kitten stays insensitive to any sound. But the kitten compensates. It gets to be more sensitive to the tiniest vibrations. It starts to hear through its paws. Its vision improves. So, it's not too much of a tragedy.

It's very interesting, and I can't help but ask, is there any way I can read your stories? I'm a writer too.
There was a time when I lived in a private house and observed the effect of telegony on the example of my cat.

You can search for "Blackie el Gato negro", Eva Lewitus. , with Google. www.scribd.com/document/405287503/Santillana-Blackie-El-Gato-Negro. If you have read 100 años de Soledad, you must know Spanish. ?
But the telegony and all I found out about the tongue, the paws, etc, of cats I wrote just for my grandchildren, I wrote it in English, so if you want to read the "long" story I can send it to you. Just send me your email. Mine is elewitus@gmail.com.

Unfortunately, the link does not open. Yes, I studied Spanish quite seriously. Of course, without practice, the language is forgotten, but there will be a reason to remember. I will write to you by e-mail.

How strange that the link did not open. I tried it and it opened, But no big deal... I have just sent you the long version of Blackie in English, to your email. Let me know if you could open it

Such intensity in that look. Excellent getting that in your photo - and with good composition to go along!

My daughter has a dog with two different colored eyes. Happily she can hear just fine (don't know if it is a common for dogs with the eye difference to be deaf).

Very interesting information, thank you. I've never had a dog, although I love them very much too. There must be anomalies. There are black squirrels, for example.

I have always been a cat person. But I too love dogs, just don't want to live with them. To me they feel like children that never grow up.

I've never seen a black squirrel!!
