Sehr schön, Jean-Paul..
Wunderschöne Streetaufnahme, die Hände, die Gesichter, Körperhaltung, alles erzählt eine Geschichte.
Versuche mir nur vorzustellen, wie du es aufnimmst, aus der Hüfte oder tatsächlich so ein tiefer Standpunkt? Nach längerem Anschauen entdecke ich auch noch den Mann im Hintergrund, die Großansicht ist halt empfehlenswert :-)!

Da ich mit der 5DIII arbeite die mit dem 24-70 mit aufgeschraubter Sonnenblende nicht zu übersehen ist, habe ich mir vor vielen Jahren die Technik angeeignet, aus der Hüfte zu fotografieren. Das hat in der Tat nicht nur den Vorteil (oft) unbemerkt fotografieren zu können, sondern auch für manche Bilder einen überraschenden Standpunkt aufzuzeigen...
Wir haben heute Nationalfeiertag, sozusagen ein langes Wochenende :)

Respekt, dass du solche Fotos aus der Hüfte schießen kannst! Bei mir wäre das sicher gnadenlos verwackelt;-) Du stellst wahrscheinlich eine kurze Belichtungszeit ein, oder?

Ich nutze die Technik über Jahre und da weiss man ganz genau, welche Einstellungen zu machen sind . . . um im Idealfall gute Bilder zu bekommen. Das funktionniert aber nicht immer, es ist viel Auswurf dabei :)

Das muss ich auch mal probieren....

You've captured their facial expressions and body language perfectly. This works very well in black and white.

I'm particularly impressed that you shot from the hip to get this shot. Great work!

I have trained my eyes on street photography for a few years and very often recognize good scenes early on. The old reflexes continue today, as I devote time to this photography from time to time... Thx alot Keith!

What type camera do you use for your street photography? And with a long lens?
I've never been able to do that type photography (well, I take photos of streets, just not with people as the focus of the image) - but I'm very interested in it.

I prefer my Canon 5DIII with the 24-70 mm, F2,8 lens. In this special case: 35 mm, so very near to the subject.
As this cam is rather big and as I use a sun shield in front of the lens, I can not be overlooked in the street, therefore I use often the hip technique :)

Ah! The hip technique - thanks for sharing a great trick of the trade.

That's one of the goals of a photo club, to exchange information and help each other if necessary.
