Mannequins: art and illusion

I like to photograph the mannequins in our midst, those half-life beings that blur the boundaries between the animate and inanimate. These faces fascinate me; I’m drawn to their beauty, their vulnerability and their sadness. I seek a wide range of mannequins, from the modern androgynous figures in the windows of stores to the more interesting vintage mannequins that can be found if you know where to look. From the quirky to the seductive, they're endlessly fascinating.
