Seawall Walk

Seawall Walk
Happy World Photography Day everyone. I think this photo is matching my mood today, since I'm wishing that the path I'm on doesn't look to be narrowing! I'm still hoping that I will again go to new places and explore new sights.

Hi Colin, It's interesting the difference a day or two can make, this seawall walk now has a pop-up coffee truck and when there is coffee there is hope!

Amazingly beautiful photo. I think it does what you wanted it to do. It deserves to be on your wall to remind you to head out! Your composition here is different than some might have done - I like that the path doesn't end up in a corner, it gives it a feel of continuing.

Is this near your home, or did you have to "head out" in order to find it?

Happy (belated) World Photography Day 2022!

This walk is very close to home and leads to a local cemetery, where I really enjoy my walks. Emily Carr is buried in the Ross Bay Cemetery and when you visit her grave you find all the small gifts that have been left for her. I think because I've been feeling restless lately, that I can't wait for fall to arrive!

Cemeteries can be wonderful places to feel connected to something larger than ourselves - kind of like looking into the stars of the sky. How nice you have such a lovely walk so close to home. My walks are all very suburban near my house. I have to drive to get to anything without a lot of human presence (not too far, but still a drive, which always seems silly to me when one is wanting to walk).

While I will miss the brightness of summer sometimes, I also am anticipating fall. If it brings a bit of rain, you know I'll be happy!
