Another look at this beautiful Lakeland bridge
This is one of Lakeland’s ancient pedestrian bridges, connecting the hamlet of Little Langdale with the many slate quarries in the Tilberthwaite area, including Cathedral Quarry and the Hodge Close Quarry.

I remember this very attractive bridge from my stays at Great Langdale (we nearly always stayed in the camp site there and it tended to be the base of most of our 'expeditions') but I haven't been back since 1985 and at some stage I need to put that right.

What a gorgeous image TOZ. For me this is my kind of scenery. The landscape is beautiful and I love the colours on the hillside. That bridge is so picturesque - I love the shape of it and the old stonework, and the water below is so still and clear. An outstanding capture and an instant favourite.
