A l'entrée de Béziers (Hérault) sur le canal du midi, un dénivelé de 21 mètres ont obligé les concepteurs du canal à réaliser ce chef d’œuvre. Tout au fond, le canal part à droite vers Sète et en face, une écluse donne accès au fleuve L'Orb. Voir la note du haut !

I love this picture and your insets are wonderful too, especially the 2nd one...but all tell part of the story and are very interesting and cool to see. Oddly enough, Steve and I initially had plans to visit Bezier on our trip to Provence, but realized that it was really too much to go all the way to Bezier, so we cut it out of our itinerary. As it turned out, we had a very bad trip for many reasons, but part of the problem was that we packed too many things into our trip, even though we were aware of not doing that. Our pared-down itinerary should have been cut down by at least half!

Thanks for the picture, I'd wanted to see this exact spot! :)
