I spotted this one eight days ago and two more today. As time allows, I will continue to keep an eye on them and consider myself very lucky to have been able to get them in front of my lens. :)

Isn't it remarkable that both Argiope bruennichi and its North and South American relatives, Argiope trifasciata, have expanded their original range across continents such as Asia, (North) Africa and Europe with our support? In light of the impact of climate change, global transportation of goods and our travel habits, it seems likely that we will increasingly encounter spiders and other animals in countries where they were previously absent.
