Schitterende foto van deze schildpad - ik neem aan dat het een schildpad is, die zo dicht bij het water is.

Beautiful photo of this beautiful turtle. It resembles the North American painted turtle, but I assume it another species.

Dit is inderdaad de soort zoals deze voorkomt in het zuiden van de USA en Mexico.
Deze na 1998 verboden om in Europe te importeren, maar er zijn er heel veel in de natuur uitgezet.
Ik vond de naam Trachemys scripto bij wikipedia, waarvoor mijn dank.

Nice shot of this Red Ear Turtle Frans, new to me but apparently quiet evasive.
