Warwickshire Walks, Alvecote

A 9.5m figure of eight walk in March 2005 from the Marina at Alvecote and along nthe Coventry Canal to the Church of St Editha at Ammington. Across the railway to the River Anker and along the Alvecote Pools Nature Reserve to Shuttington. From there we returned to our starting point at Alvecote via Shuttington Bridge.

We then carried on to the remains of the old Priory, up to the summit of the Spoil Heap, past the Pooley Hall War Memorial and on to the Church in Polesworth,returning to Alvecote along the Coventry Canal.

Weather cloudy and cool.
