A 5m circular walk in July 2005, from the Car Park at Milford, across the river Sow, and along the Staffs and Worcs Canal to the Junction with the Trent and Mersey Canal at Great Haywood, back along the bridleway to Tixall Farm and to the Church of St John at Tixall.

The start of the Heart of England Way at Milford Common

From this point in October 2002 we had started the Heart of England Way, a long distance walk of 100 miles, passing through Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire. On this beautiful day in July 2005 it was the start of a 5 mile circular walk from Millford Common, over the river Sow, along the Staffs and Worcs Canal to Great Hayward Junction, on to Tixall and back.
