A 2.5m walk there and back in February 1994 from Glenridding, Grisdale Bridge, Patterdale and somewhere on the path towards Hare Shaw.

It had looked to be a lovely day as the first picture shows when we stopped to look at Blencathra from the junction of the A5091 and the A66. But on the path to Hare Shaw weather turned foul and we thought it best to turn back!

We thought it was best to give up for the day, and returned the way we had come!
