Access to the Trig Point (140m) was restricted by barbed wire fence. Good views to the East of the Stipperstones.

Trig Point (77m) at Crutch Hill

The actual Trig Point can be seen in the middle of the clump of trees. It is fenced off with barbed wire. However one of the trees at the edge provided a good strong low branch to sit and have lunch.
For a Trig point of only 77m there are magnificent views as can be seen from the next three pictures.

The Trig point is quite exposed and the March winds blew cold. There is cover in the green lane where we enjoyed a warming cuppa.

|
The large cross, commissioned by St. Mark’s Church, now marks the summit of the hill.
There are panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the Staffordshire countryside, The Wrekin, the Clent Hills and the Brown Clee in Shropshire.
