We began the Shropshire Way in February 2001, and at that time it was about 136 miles. Nearly 20 years later it has been modified up to around 200 miles.

We started at Wrockwardine and walked North to Lee Brockhurst. A serious outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease meant access to land was restricted and

Grinshill Hill and a Trig Point (192m), the topograph was erected for the Queen's Jubilee in 1977. Although only a moderate height the view includes the Wrekin, Wenlock Edge, the Clees, the Strettons, the Long Mynd, Jodrell Bank, the Peckforton Hills, the Arans and the Berwyns.
