Lake District Winter Walks, Ashness Bridge, Dewent Water

First Taking the ferry from the Boat House Landing stages to the southern end of Derwent Water near the Mary Mount Hotel.

Climbing through Lodore Wood, below Gowder Crag, to the footbridge over Watendlath Beck near Cattle Grid. Then turning northward through Ashness Wood to Ashness Bridge. Continuing about the 150m
conture to Great Wood and down to Calfclose Bay, along the shore line, via Friar’s Crag to the Boat House.
