Oxford Canal
Folder: English Canals

Footpath leading down to the Oxford Canal from above Sheep Pens
The Canal seems to follow the 115m contour from near Wormleighton Grange all the way to Marston Doles. We join the canal at the bridge, seen in the middle of the picture, and head back to Priors Hardwick on the far towpath. The towpath forms part of the Oxford Canal Walk.
(Little did we know on the walk back in April 2005 that we would cross the path of the future HS2 Rail Link. In the picture my late friend is very close to this route...)

Hawkesbury Junction (Scan from 1999)
The Junction of the Coventry and Oxford Canals. A nice place for lunch and to watch the canal boats make the sweeping turn from the Oxford and Coventry Canals.
