A 6.5m circular walk in April 2005 from Priors Hardwick via Fox Covert, Berryhill Trig Point (183m), Stoneton Manor, Wormleighton. Then heading north past the sewage works and Sheep Pens to join the Oxford Canal at the bridge below Stoneton Farm and leaving to return to the start.

Wether cool and breezy warming later.

2021, the HS2 rail route near Priors Hardwick.

Comparing the modern map and the 1884 map, it can be seen that the footpaths taken were in existence.

The Butcher's Arms, Priors Hardwick

“Our Inn, dating from 1375, is older than the Church. This is unusual as it was common for a hostelry to be built at the same time as the church, so that the workmen could use it for lodging and drinking. During the years, many drovers with their cattle stopped at the Inn on their way to the nearby Old Welsh Road, bound for London.”
