A 10m circular walk in October 1990, from the northern end of Ladybower Reservoir, along the west bank of Upper Derwent Reservoir and turning westward after Howden Dam.

Continuing up to Birchin Hat and Alport Castles and then turning south at Alport Farm to Snake Road, and then to the SE to Crookstone Barn. Here we take a turn northwards back to the start.
