A locked gate at the entrance to Aston Wood


After crossing Mor Brook near the weir we headed on the path to the steep climb through Aston Wood.The footpath was non-existent and we had to scramble our way in steep slippery conditions to the top of the ridge. Here we were met by a barbed wire fence and managed to find a path to the east of the one we had planned.
