Folder: Maine
No GPS? Which Way Is North on This Paper Thing?
Casual hiker on Cadillac Mountain, Mt Desert Island, Acadia National Park, Maine.

All of the shoreline of Acadia and DownEast Maine is east of the Norumbega Fault, which means it made up of the same ancient rock as British Isles, parts of Spain, the Atlas Mountains (and maybe the Ardennes). Rock that was left stuck to North America when Plate Tectonics ripped Europe away.
