Wilsons Peak is on the divide between drainage of the Murray-Darling system to the west and the east coastal catchments of the Brisbane River (foreground) and Clarence River (background). It is also on the NSW-Queensland border. Mt Superbus (broad rounded summit) to the right is the highest peak in the Main Range, and Queensland's 4th highest summit. The cliffed face in front of Mt Superbus is MT Roberts. Reynolds Creek drains the eastern face of Mt Roberts, discharging into Lake Moogerah and ultimately sending its waters to the Brisbane River.
Minto Crags in the foreground , Mt Moon behind and the Main Range as a backdrop. Spicers Peak is centre on the range, with Mt Doubletop to its south and Mt Mitchell prominent to the right. This is a view into an eroded volcanic complex: the Crags being part of a dyke system, Mt Moon one of the plug cores, and the Main Range being formed by successive lava flows as part of the flanks of the shield volcano dating from Tertiary times.
