Dog on balcony.. watching the world go by....a town square in 'Omis' Dalmatia.

The hillside up from the coast at 'Duce' near 'Omis' Croatia. Lined with hundreds of now derelict brick terraces from the times when the area was successfully growing products. This old house is one of many in the area, it may have been lived in full time.. or maybe just for refuge when working out on the terraces.

''Ye' olde' trough''..... Smallfield lane - Bradfield - Sheffield.

Now totally dominated by a near complete modern structure...''The Old Queen's Head'' is a public house on Pond Hill in the City of Sheffield.. that occupies the oldest domestic building in the city. This timber framed building is thought to date from c.1475, although the earliest known written record of it is in an inventory compiled in 1582 of the estate of George Talbot, the 6th Earl of Shrewsbury. Pip'.. is the completed building in the background.

A forestry trail through Ladybank woods - Eckington - Sheffield... Featuring 'Bella' the Border collie. Approaching me at her usual speed of around 90 mph !!

A forest track alongside 'Rivelin dams' Sheffield... the trail forks at this point .. up left to the 'Redmires dams'... and straight on to the A57 Manchester road. My family had a weekend hut / cabin close by this area.... I spent much of my youth here and know these woods so well.

Pictured through the stone arches of the pedestrian walkway around the port of 'Cavtat' Croatia. A most delightful old port of pleasant bars and cafe's sited within two leafy peninsulas .. with occasional visiting yachts of all classes.

Approximately 3 miles to the west of the market town of Chesterfield - are the three 'Linacre' reservoirs'... Surrounded by a most pleasant woodland walk.

A pleasant spot to sit and take in the ambience around the three dams - the lower - middle - and upper - always popular with walkers throughout the year.

A sunset shot over the approx 18 miles distant ..'Elaphite' islands ..from 'Cavtat peninsular' near Dubrovnik - Croatia... the peaks and dales appearance.. is foreshortened by use of a touch of zoom from the TZ100

Ladybank wood within the 'Moss Valley' south of Sheffield - Moss valley was once a busy thriving area of small coal mines and water powered mills providing power to the numerous scythe and saw makers now long gone.
