Danke, Manfred! Ja, da bin ich ganz deiner Meinung und warte schon eine ganze Weile darauf, dass sich dieser schäbige Anblick wieder in ein ansehnliches Gebäude verwandelt. Bin gespannt, ob sich dort in diesem Jahr endlich etwas tut.

Ja, an diese Möglichkeit habe ich auch schon gedacht, Manfred. Wer weiß, welche Ideen der Stadtverwaltung hierzu evtl. noch durch den Kopf gehen mögen, da Radolfzell ja eh schon lange eine attraktive Querung der Bahnlinie im Bahnhofsbereich (Seetorquerung) plant. Auch von einem neuen Hotel gegenüber vom Bahnhof war die Rede...
Ich denke, ich werde deine Idee in den nächsten Tagen in die Tat umsetzen! :)

Hallo Manfred, inzwischen habe ich tatsächlich bei der Stadtverwaltung nachgefragt und prompt eine Antwort erhalten!
Man schrieb mir, dass die Eigentümerin an einer Neubebauung zwar interessiert sei, aber die rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen des Baurechts seien insbesondere wegen des Grundstückszuschnitts und der Lage in der Altstadt neben dem Stadtgarten nicht ganz einfach. Darum ist eine Entscheidung, was mit dem Gebäude letztendlich geschehen soll, noch nicht endgültig gefallen. Man hofft jedoch darauf, dass sich der jetzige Zustand in naher Zukunft ändern wird.
Na, da bin ich mal gespannt, wie es dort in Zukunft weitergeht!

Yes, I think it is a pity that this ruin of fire there for over 2 years seems as forgotten there and no one seems to care about where housing is so much needed and the central location certainly very attractive for a shop or restaurant should be.

Oh, so far I have not noticed the pigeons yet! First it was through your comment that I became aware of themt and eventually found them. ;-)

Nice photograph for the challenge, hate to see structures neglected like that. Was this a home or a place of business?

Many thanks, Chris! Yes, I also find it's a shame, that this building seems forgotten there, until the final decay delivered.

Until the fire, I was only aware that there was a Chinese restaurant on the ground floor. From the outside, however, it did not make a welcoming impression and I do not know anybody who has visited it once. After the fire, the newspaper said that the restaurant was a bar. Only one woman lived on one of the upper floors, but she has safed in time from the fire.

It must have been beautiful once.

Echt grungig! Das sieht aus, als ob der warme Abriß nicht ganz gelungen wäre und jetzt wartet der Besitzer, bis es vollends zusammenfällt....

Warum es so lange dauert, bis sich jemand um den Abriss oder die Instandsetzung kümmert, kann ich nicht verstehen, Gudrun. Ich hoffe nicht, dass der Eigentümer warten will, bis es gar nicht mehr zu retten ist. Ich weiß auch nicht, ob das Gebäude überhaupt noch zu retten ist! ;-)
