Klammlsee or Lago di Gola is an alpine lake on the border between Italy and Austria.
Lake Braies
The emerald green Lake Braies(1,469 asl) , often considered as the most beautiful South Tyrol lake, is the starting point for numerous Dolomite hiking tours .
According to legends, at the south end of the lake, where Mt Croda del Becco (2,810 m asl) is situated, there was the gate to the Fanes underworld, reachable only with a boat ride.
You can either walk round the lake (4 km) or have a rowing boat trip and enjoy the beauty of the scenery. We decided to walk, but unfortunately the place was overcrowded...and it was a cloudy day, too. However, we enjoyed our trip all the same!

Lake Orta is a lake in northern Italy, west of Lake Maggiore.
It has been so named since the 16th century, but was previously called the Lago di San Giulio, after Saint Julius (4th century), the patron saint of the region.
Its scenery is characteristically Italian, while the San Giulio island has some very picturesque buildings, and takes its name from the local saint, who lived in the 4th century.
