The Darsena ( harbour) once connected to the circle of the Navigli canals , constituted the joining ring with a water circuit, which was for centuries the main channel of supplies, transportation, and commercial traffic in the city. Today it is the hub of the Navigli neighbourhood, with music locales, restaurants, pubs, traditional osterie, little markets, and antique fairs on weekends.

Palazzo Lombardia is a complex of buildings in Milan, including a 39-storey, 161.3 m tall skyscraper. It is the main seat of the government of Lombardy. Designed by the architectural firm Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, the building won the 2012 International Architecture Award for the best new global design.

Piazza Gae Aulenti is the epicenter of Milan’s most modern neighborhood. Inaugurated in 2012, it is elevated 6 meters above the street. It is surrounded by various buildings, all with a surprising design. The most impressive is the 231-meters tall Unicredit Tower, which is currently the highest skyscraper in Italy.

The Langhe is a hilly area to the south and east of the river Tanaro in the province of Cuneo in Piedmont, northern Italy. It is famous for its wines, cheeses, and truffles. In 2014, Langhe were inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage list for its cultural landscapes, outstanding living testimony to winegrowing and winemaking traditions that stem from a long history, and that have been continuously improved and adapted up to the present day. Its vineyards constitute an outstanding example of man’s interaction with his natural environment. The winegrowing landscape also expresses great aesthetic qualities, making it into an archetype of European vineyards.
