Il profumo, purtroppo, non lo possiamo sentire ma solo immaginare, quello che appare evidente ai nostri occhi è la delicatezza del fiore ed anche la sua fragilità. La rosa sta infatti leggermente piegata nel contenitore di vetro, la luce sembra quasi "mangiarsi" la sua sommità, resta però lì a mostrarci le sue tonalità delicate che staccano alla grande sullo sfondo bianco mentre la sua ombra sottolinea la sua materialità.
Un particolare tecnicamente molto riuscito è il dettaglio del bicchiere, il bordo, il livello dell'acqua, dettagli difficili da mettere in evidenza per le condizioni di luce.
Una foto composta in maniera apparentemente semplice ma con un dosaggio molto efficace degli elementi, il rischio poteva essere che il colore rimanesse "affogato" nel troppo bianco, invece stacca molto bene, attira immediatamente il nostro sguardo e domina la foto.
