In memory of Harry's Dad

This man used to live aboard the canal boat moored up behind him just along the canal. He used to fed all of the local water fowl including Harry the Heron who used to call each day for breakfast, lunch & tea. Sadly he died around three years ago, the boat got moved and the birds are back to relying upon nature and their own wits. He was a delightful man with an equally delightful wife..

Coppermill Lock ~ Grand Union Canal ~ This swan still has six of her seven cygnets remaining ~ that is pretty good

08/07/17 update. The family all paddled into the lock, only to scuttle out again as a barge gently nosed in.
