Usually a dog statue like this is a memorial to that particular dog, maybe Steve had a point. Obviously a dearly loved pet.

Hello Maurice, well I really don't know the story on this statue. My best guess is that the owner does like dogs maybe and has found a nice statue that he placed there at the entry to his property,,, thanks for your take in this, appreciate your visit and comment.

That's lovely Sarah! I was also wondering if it is in memory of a much loved pet. Looks like the dog had part of a leg amputated. Also, I am on time Sarah!!! HFF!!!!

Hey Rosa, I wish I knew more about the statue, but I can only guess, like you and others have done...my thought is just a property owner who came up on a dog statue and placed there, as he could be a dog fan.....YES I too saw he is missing a leg....
