Thank you Steve, it was SUCH fun to do ....the bottom sheet cake is a favorite of hers, a Chocolate Devil Food cake recipe, the car is brownie recipe, MY favorite :)) all of it was divided among us all to take home, after we had some of it at the restaurant..:) you missed it Steve!!

I have really enjoyed this sequence of pictures of Delanie's 16th birthday!!
She is so lucky to get her own car.. In England you must be 17, and only then can you learn to be on the roads.. it then usually takes at least a few months to know enough theory and practice to get a full licence. You must be very proud of the happy young lady!!

Hello Peter, Im so glad you have visited this birthday series :) Oh MY, 17 in England!! here they can have learner's licenses at age 15 with an adult licensed driver teaching them for a YEAR then they begin testing for the real license, WHEN 16 !! So since Jan 24, She is 16 !! Her dad has certainly been hands-on helping her, and says she is a very good driver, He is in law enforcement and therefore a good choice to teach her right? :))) Indeed, we are so proud of her and the kind of young lady she has become. She is the one I have posted, some shots before this series, dancing at a fashion show. shes a ray of sunshine Peter.

Note to Peter! Hey Peter, this young lady JUST TODAY ( Jan 30 ) has come by with her dad after going for her DRIVING part of testing for a real, official driver's license.!!!! SHE PASSED with flying colors while driving with a Licensed Driving Instructor !!! She is OFFICIAL now to drive alone! We all are so proud of her....wanted you to know since you mentioned the age there is 17 before one can drive on the roads. ~~ Sarah ~~
