Hi Nick. All my photos are either in my phone, in my old external hard drive (but i can't upload them from it to my current pc) or in the cloud. My problem is my temperemental laptop!

So glad to see you even if for a short while. My computer isn't behaving [ well - I shouldn't fuss since this laptop is 10yrs old ], but 2 of the USB ports are toast ... the last one is getting difficult to work ..
Thought I knew what I wanted to replace it with -- but .. maybe I'm too picky .. can't find all the things on it or else .. the price is horrid !

Thank you, Isabel! A most unexpected thing! I was about to store it away in a cupboard when I thought, OK just one last chance ... and it started up!! (I had attempted to start it up on many previous occasions this past month, but no joy).
I am not expecting it to last more than a day or two. I have learnt to be be, if not pessimistic, at least realistic!
