It's a beautiful place now, Andy. I imagine it was not so when the mine was operating.

You could be right, Ronald but I know the mine only operated for about 15 years and was commercially unsuccessful, so I don't think there was much disruption!

Thanks June, We've had 65-70F these past 4-5 days (all-time record highs for Feb in Madrid) but it will change dramaticaly in the next day or two. Out with the coats and scarves again!

In 2012 I had a car there so could visit places like this often and I had 2.5 months summer holidays then as I had no classes in Spain for that period and I could claim the dole in England. The following year all that changed (but still no work / pay for 2.5 months due to no classes in Summer) and I could only afford to visit perhaps every other summer and for a max of 2 weeks! That is why I have fewer and fewer Cornwall photos to show and have had to start repeating them!
