It was only after I had taken the shot that I saw a beggar almost by my side. I had just come into the shade of the underpass from the bright sun and the traffic noise form the main road drowned out any sound, so I almost bundled him over. I felt guilty at not giving him some coins but I had no cash on me whatsoever! A few mumbled Spanglish apologies and I shuffled on my way :o(

A very nice architectural shot Andy.............with some super blue tones. I'd have loved to have seen a bit more of the graffiti.

Couldn't fit it in the shot, Keith and then as I was going to have a more detailed look at it (a lot but all in the shade or in the underpass), I attracted the unwanted attention of a persistent beggar so I hot-footed it out of there. Maybe I'll return soon.

All true. My sister's husband's father. As fit as a butcher's dog. Every day spent in the high Gredos Mountains.
And still fit and strong aged 80 something, but now irrelevant as sadly his mind has gone and all he wants to do is watch the google-box.

I was never given a satisfactory reason, Carol except that there WERE viewing windows with non reflective glass but there were two problems; You had to book a time to view and you had to be accompanied by a security guard and the times were never when they suited me as I had to rush there for a class and inevitaby rush to my next class somewhere else in Madrid. But secondly, the idiots in planning thought that the only interest would be in photos of the smoggy city to the south! Straight into the sun! Visibility minimal. Hopeless. The best views were to the mountains to the north and away from the direct sun. Not allowed!!!!! Crazy!
