the tragic accident with the chain saw,
the unforeseen consequences of the chipmunk invasion,
the exploding power line and
the garden flooded with the village sewage,

None of them is pleasant. I hope not the village sewage! But then the others are or could be all worse. Oh boy!

The answer is the chipmunk invasion!!!
My Mum was gardening one day (as usual!) when she saw a little striped rodent that she didn't immediately recognise. She then saw another and then another! She called my Dad who guessed they were chipmunks. Much puzzled, she thought no more of it until later that day a neighbour from along the street started calling on the doors to ask if any chipmunks had been seen! Their kids had been keeping them as pets and they accidentally left the cage door open! Apparently they managed to get them all back by leaving a trail of their favourite food from one garden to the next and back to their house!!!
