Porthcadjack from the crest of Samphire Island

It's fun scrambling to the top of Samphire Island!
I didn't know the way onto and up to the top of Samphire Island (there is no 'path' as such) until I watched a family (all ages) go up and I followed as they seemed to know what they were doing. They had their picnic on the top (here) and they told me that this had been a family tradition to have a picnic here once every Cornish holiday, ever since their grandparents had started the tradition in the 1930s!

Very many thanks!
Andy Rodker club has replied to Gudrun clubApparently it is possible to visit the cave on foot but only on the 2 or 3 lowest tides of the year and I have never quite managed to time my visits that exactly. I expect it would be a case of 10 minutes max before a quick dash back!
Gudrun,
Thank you both!

I think I'll use this for the photo notes!

Thank you both!
