Kuressaare airport is about 3 km outside the town. As you can see in the photo, you can also reach it on foot. There are twelve scheduled flights a week to/from Tallinn, operated by Nyxair with an ATR 42.

I first wondered why there were so many people standing by the road when I got to the centre of the village. It was the first day after the summer holidays and the pupils were parading through the town.

Boarding for Transaviabaltika flight KTB683 from Kuressaare to Tallinn. The route was operated with either the BAe Jetstream 31 ES-PJA or the BAe Jetstream 32 ES-PJR at that time. That has become history. As per 21.12.2020, Nyxair took over the route Tallinn - Kuressaare operating an ATR 42-500.
