The great award ticket deal mentioned in the description to "aviation 36" did not just include the flight from Beiing to Singapore, but also the next sector from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur with Ethiopian Airlines. In other words: it was an award ticket from Beijing to Kuala Lumpur via Singapore. The sector from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur was operated by Ethiopian Airlines. That might sound totally strange. They have/had a service Addis Abeba - Singapore - Kuala Lumpur with so called "fifth freedom rights" on the last sector. That means it can be booked seperately. It is not verified, but I had the impression I was the only passenger joining in Singapore that day.

Air France B777-300ER F-GSQL getting ready for flight AF381 from Beijing Capital Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. When taking the photo, I had no idea that this, followed by a short connecting flight from Paris to Düsseldorf, was going to be my last flight for an uncertain period of time. The entire routing was: Düsseldorf - Paris - Beijing - Singapore - Kuala Lumpur - Hanoi - Beijing - Paris - Düsseldorf, spread over three flight tickets including such a nice deal as Beijing - Singapore in Singapore Airlines Business Class for 35.000 Miles & More miles and < 20 EUR taxes and fees. Thanks to Flying Blue Gold frequent flyer status, I also got upgrades from Economy Class to Business Class on the way from Paris to Beijing and to Premium Economy Class on the way from Beijing to Paris with both these flights being overbooked in Economy Class.

Similar view like www.ipernity.com/doc/2220246/46380416/in/album/1050236 . The Ampang Park Mall (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ampang_Park) which can be seen in the photo from 2015 was demolished as the site is required for a station building being part of an undergoing rail transit project.
