Autour du céanothe...

Le céanothe peut faire penser au lilas : il en a les grappes de fleurs dressées et même le parfum. Pourtant, cet arbuste ornemental se pare, chez la plupart de ses espèces, d’un beau bleu vif. Il habille alors massifs et murs, les espèces rampantes du céanothe couvrant sols et talus. Il pourra être conduit en arbre au milieu d’une pelouse, et plus modestement, viendra bien en pot ou en bac pour parfumer terrasses ou balcons.

BEAUTIFUL!! And, once you've seen this as a macro subject, you never forget it! We have a species of wild lilac on our property and I managed to get a nice picture of the very same husks you photographed! www.ipernity.com/doc/290645/17693785 They really make fantastic macros, don't they?!

Loved your presentation and information too. The inset with the outrageous blue bush in the back just rocks my world! So this is what they look like when given proper water! Our property lies in a place that gets extremely dry, so the wild lilacs we have are scraggly and not at all like that gorgeous specimen you showed! What a pretty bush. I also loved the other flowers in the picture, and the other insets as well! :)
