Centrum Stroll

This is my first image on Ipernity. This picture became quite popular on Panoramio, 500px and 1x. So I hope it is received well on this platform too. I look forward to meet many of my 'old' and 'new' friends here. This picture is taken in the old part of Tromsø during the winter of 2013. Street View

This time it is an image that never became popular on Panoramio. But it fits nicely together with my first upload on Ipernity. Only this is a view of the newer part of Tromsø center. The library on the left and the cinema/town hall on the right. Also the hdr editing technique is comparable to my first upload. Lonely Man Photoagraphy © All Rights Reserved. Tourist Magnet

Time to upload an image with an architectural content again. Lots of pictures are taken of this landmark. I felt that a little high key / hdr editing was fitting. The Oslo Opera House has been a tourist magnet since it was opened in 2008. One can walk any where on the roof and enjoy great views. It is the home of The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, and the national opera theatre in Norway. The building is situated near central Oslo, at the head of the Oslofjord. The angled exterior surfaces of the building are covered with Italian marble and white granite and make it appear to rise from the water. It is the largest cultural building constructed in Norway since Nidarosdomen was completed circa 1300. Street Art Vardø; Ethos

This is not the first place that comes to mind when thinking about street art. But in july 2012, Vardø hosted the world's northern most street art festival, curated by the artist Pøbel - KOMAFEST -. The purpose was to conceptualize the depopuation of northern Norway. Now three years later I tried to capture this art. At least most of the work. Some were already painted over and others I just did not find. Facing the Future

Impression of the Oslo Opera House. This is the statue of Kirsten Flagstad (1895-1962), first director of the Oslo Opera and opera singer, facing the Oslo Opera House (2008). The roof of the building angles to ground level, creating a large plaza that invites pedestrians to walk up and enjoy the panoramic views of Oslo. While much of the building is covered in white granite and La Facciata, a white Italian carrara marble, the stage tower is clad in white aluminum, in a design by Løvaas & Wagle that evokes old weaving patterns.(part from Wikipedia) Lonely Man Photography © All Rights Reserved.
