Fun?
Something a little different. I mentioned in a post last week that I was gone, taking a group of 6-8th graders to a camp on the coast. We do this every year and spend most of two days at the camp enjoying different activities, but this, at least for them, is the high point of the camp. We all go down to the mud flats when the tide is out and they slide and play in the mud getting as dirty as they possibly can. It was, in fact, not long after this picture was taken that most of them were unrecognizable, these girls as well as the boys (see inset). Sometimes even the adults join in, but camp for the kids would not be quite the same without the mudflats.

Kailyn
One of the reasons we go to Edmonton every summer if possible. This is our granddaughter Kailyn and below another granddaughter Ashlynn. We have a grandson there also, Owen, but he is hard to photograph since he is always in motion.

Ashlynn and Kailyn
Introducing our newest grandchild, Ashlynn, born June 29th. She is shown here with her older sister, Kailyn, who stopped moving for a few minutes to hold her baby sister. We are just back from Edmonton to see her and her family.

Owen
Owen is our grandson from Edmonton. He is not yet a year old. We love him as much as his sister, but I did not get as many pictures of him when I was in Edmonton recently, partly because he is usually either eating or napping, partly because he is not yet quite a photogenic as his sister.

Mischief
I was in Edmonton over the past weekend and had opportunity to see two of my grandchildren. Kailyn, the oldest, is two years old.
Drinking Fountain
This photo was taken while I was sitting on a bench at Roozengaarde's Tulips during the Tulip Festival. The little girl played with the drinking fountain for quite some time completely oblivious to her surroundings and I finally took a few shots.
