Here's another dragonfly photographed on one of daily walks, this a Blue-eyed Darner. I wasn't around yesterday because we were hiking again, this time in the North Cascades. We hiked about 11 miles up to Cutthroat Pass and back. Photos to follow next week.

This dragonfly, which I've identified as an Orange Meadowhawk was photographed on one of our daily walks in the area around our home. It is quite common and I've photographed it on other occasions as the inset photos indicate.
Western Swallowtail
I thought this to be a Pale Swallowtail but Pam has corrected that ID to a Western Swallowtail. It was photographed on a morning walk near our home.
Common Whitetail Skimmer
We've seen and photographed quite a few different dragonflies on our daily walks this summer. Here is one of them, the Common Whitetail Skimmer, though a bit worse for the wear.
