One of the evenings we were in Death Valley National Park we watched the sunset at Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, walking the dunes and looking for photos.

On the largest dune it is possible to define the direction of the prevailing wind.
Interestingly, the wind blows in opposite directions on the trees and the small dunes.
