Mountain Mahogany

These were photographed along the south rim of the Grand Canyon. I had no idea when I photographed them what they were but have since discovered, I think, that they are the seeds of Mountain Mahogany or Ironwood. If anyone knows better I would appreciate their input.

Elle fait de superbes fleurs blanches ! Les mahogany il y en a aussi ! C'est vraiment un beau bois d'ébénisterie. Il paraît que les graines se dispersent assez loin avec le vent. Ce sont sans doute des espèces différentes.

superbe arbuste; les fruits plumeux sont très élégants chez cette rosacée ( le nom scientifique est Cercocarpus)
