The Grotto

The Grotto
The Grotto was one of our destinations on our McKittrick Canyong hike in Guadalupe Mountains National Park. It is a small cave where water percolates through limestone and forms stalactites and stalagmites. We had our lunch at some stone tables nearby.

How cool, Ron! Very interesting to see these formations at the outer edge of this cave. I have never seen anything like it. I'm actually surprised there's no obvious damage, isn't that nice?!
