Escure Ranch

This was the canyon through which Rock Creek runs and in which Towell Falls is found. We were hiking on the Escure Ranch, now federal land, several weeks ago when these photos were taken. This is a good illustration of why this area is known as the channeled scablands, lack of fertility and the channeled nature of the land are both evident in the photo.

Are you still allowed to hike through forests? Our parks are all closed - including those along the gorge.

I've added it to the group. We've found some places to hike, mostly on Bureau of Land Management land. The state parks and city parks are all closed as are most of the National Forest lands.

Thanks for adding. I love re-looking at this. Glad you can still do BLM hikes. I'm just going around the block these days - but at least I'm in a suburban area with lots of trees (including in my backyard). I feel very lucky.

I know there are those who have it worse. My parents are in a retirement home and are confined to two rooms.
