Fishtrap Lake

We did our weekly hike yesterday. Since most trails and parks are closed we've had to look for places we can hike and have found some close to home, this lake, Fishtrap Lake, only about 15 miles away. We live in an area of Washington known as the channeled scablands, a barren area of Ponderosa Pines, dry coulees, and long, narrow and deep lakes apparently caused by massive floods. We live near one of those lakes and have been visiting other of them on our weekly hikes. The day was warn and sunny, the wildflowers were starting to bloom, we saw only four other people and had a very pleasant few hours away from home, hiking about six miles along the west side of the lake and through the prairies.

It seems that you can go out rather easily ... We can't leave our home more than one hour for a walk here ....
