Snow Geese
Snow Geese have always wintered in huge flocks in Washington's Skagit Valley. In more recent years some flocks have moved further north and wintered in the area where we used to live. This small flock was photographed near the town of Lynden, Washington.

Oh RON...this main picture...it's so incredible!! THE GLOWING COLORS...AHHHHHHH!!!! It's too beautiful!! Honestly, what are you trying to do to me? :D Both of your insets are fantastic too. The in-flight image...I mean...WOW!!!! And the ?herons? are just marvelous. What a treat to drool at your pictures.

It's too late to write more...but I'll be back tomorrow! Or, if you beat me to it with another picture, I'll drop my comment there. For now, it's off to the land of Z's! :)
