Oh wow, isn't that lovely!! I had to look up Wiki: Heliconia and holy cow, so many beautiful species! They aren't the same as Birds of Paradise though, which is another family: Wiki: Strelitzia

I'm surprised though because they are similar in their oddness, aren't they? Also, I would say your plant should be called a "Toucan Bill"...what were they thinking?! :D :D Thanks so much for the link, I always love to see more of your photography! :)
