Goatsbeard


Seen and photographed along the Lake Serene trail, Goatsbeard (love that name) or Aruncus dioicus, is a common summer-blooming wildflower, actually more of a shrub than a wildflower. By the time these were photographed they were starting to fade, but they were one of the few wildflowers we saw along the trail. The photo below shows them still fresh.
